Don’t work “FOR” a client; instead, work “WITH” them :)

Old Way of Working

  • Role: Fulfill client requests.
  • Client Interaction: Work for clients, accepting various jobs.
  • Positioning: Focus on executing tasks based on client instructions.
  • Payment: Often charge hourly rates or fixed packages.
  • Boundaries: May struggle with unclear boundaries due to client expectations.

New Way of Working:

  • Role: Work with clients as experts and guides.
  • Client Selection: Selective about accepting clients, ensuring a great fit.
  • Positioning: Help clients achieve specific goals; not just a job.
  • Payment: Price based on business sustainability and client transformation value.
  • Boundaries: Clearly define boundaries upfront.

Have you ever considered this new way of working?
